Traditional Bottlers header

As this site expanded, it kind of strayed away from what I will call the traditional, or old-time, bottlers. These almost extinct entities soon were lost as the list of breweries and behind-closed-doors bottlers increased. What you will find on this page are companies that still do most things the old-fashioned way. Most use returnable bottles and welcome buyers to stop at the plant or warehouse to purchase their soda (but watch out, you may find their doors locked during the lunch hour). Hearing about and visiting some of these bottlers is what made me make this site. At the bottom of the page you will also find links to newspaper articles that highlight the last US Coke plant to refill returnable bottles and the slow death of the last Pepsi bottler to refill returnables.
